Why We Built This Site
Connecticut warrant records do not sit in one public county database. A Superior Court judge issues process, the criminal clerk maintains the case-side entry, and municipal or state police serve warrants and retain agency files. PRAWN carries operational data for authorized criminal-justice users, while the public VOP and FTA portal shows only a limited category and currently restricts ordinary FTA display. Organizing the official court map, search limits, police request routes, and access rules in one place helps a reader begin with the office that actually holds the needed record.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how to begin a warrant search with the Judicial Branch and confirm it with the proper criminal clerk
- Outstanding warrants: how to check for active warrants and what an "active" status actually means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in Fairfield County
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to resolve a warrant, from talking to an attorney to posting bond and a motion to recall or quash
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Connecticut court, police department, or state agency. Its limits are important:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the court of record can confirm its current process. Police can address agency-held arrest or service files, but cannot replace the clerk's case status.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results, and their data is not an official warrant check.
